Active English courses are for people who want to learn English whilst enjoying an special interest activity.  You will enjoy 1:1 or 2:1 learning experience, whilst undertaking activities with a particular focus.   You will have structured English lessons, plus activities each week.   These courses are perfect for the individual person or for couples wanting to see and experience some of what Australia has to offer whilst improving their English language skills in a structured and individually designed way.  You will experience total immersion in the English language by living and learning in the home of your teacher.

English + Culture

Australia’s culture is diverse and vibrant.  The product of an ancient landscape, it is home to the world’s oldest continuous cultural traditions and a rich mix of migrant communities.

In this course you will explore and experience the diverse Australian culture with your English teacher.   You will enjoy topic focussed conversation, learn about the indigenous history and culture and enjoy excursions to places of cultural significance.

English + Cuisine

Australian food and wine are highly regarded in world culinary circles.  Australia is one of the most exciting destinations for people interested in cuisines of the world because of its culinary innovation and novel, healthy and fresh approach to food preparation.

In this course you will explore and experience Australian cuisine with your English teacher.   You will enjoy topic focussed conversation and excursions to places of culinary interest.  This course gives you English language instruction plus the unique opportunity to pursue your interests of Australian food and wine.

English + Nature

Australia has 10 per cent of the world’s biodiversity and a great number of its native plants, animals and birds exist nowhere else in the world. 

In this course you will study English plus enjoy the unique opportunity to pursue your interests in nature.  You will learn about native flora and fauna and have opportunities to experience the natural environment with excursions to botanic gardens, national parks and wildlife sanctuaries.

English + Walk

This unique program will allow you to learn English while enjoying the outdoors.  Walking is a great way to get around Australian towns and cities.  You can walk short tracks or longer trails to explore and experience the magnificent outdoors and beautiful scenery of Australia. 

In this course you will enjoy topic focussed conversation, excursions to walks of interest, scenic lookouts and bushwalking in the Australian natural environment.  You will be fully accompanied by your English language teacher and enjoy a total English immersion experience.

English + Golf

This program gives you the opportunity to study English and practice golf.  You will enjoy 12.5 hours of English lessons plus a golf lesson and practice games each week.  In this course you can develop your English language skills while improving your golf  game.  Students will be accompanied by their English language teacher to enjoy a total English immersion experience.

You choose how you want to combine your lessons and activities: For example:-

10 hours of lessons + 5 hours of activities= 15 hours

10 hours of lessons + 10 hours of activities = 20 hours

15 hours of lessons + 10 hours of activities = 25 hours

20 hours of lessons + 10 hours of activities = 30 hours
