Teach English at home

Would you like to teach English at home?

Teaching at home can be a very rewarding and enjoyable experience.  The convenience of a home environment and the friendly atmosphere it provides has many benefits for both the teacher and student.   In addition, you can enjoy greater flexibility by choosing when you want to accept a student.

We accept students from 16-75 years of age, at various levels of language ability and from a range of cultural backgrounds.  Teachers must be prepared to provide between 15-30 hours of home tuition per week for one to four weeks, at various times throughout the year.  Teaching format is one-to-one or two-to-one.  Students are encouraged to integrate into family life and be included in activities in order to help them experience the Australian way of life.

The success of our students is highly dependent on the quality of our teachers.  Australia English Institute recruit high quality teachers to ensure our standard of excellence is present throughout all our programs.

Our organisation is dedicated to offering unique and successful language learning experiences that help students achieve their goals and have experiences that give them a lifetime of happy memories.   We offer full support to help you and your student enjoy the whole language learning homestay experience.

To be a homestay teacher, you must have a university degree plus a TESOL certificate or equivalent and teaching experience.  You must be a highly motivated native English speaker and have a caring, friendly disposition.   Good communication and interpersonal skills are essential.  In addition, you must be able to provide suitable accommodation for students within a friendly atmosphere.

We offer an attractive remuneration and flexibility that enables you to teach at the times of year that best suit your lifestyle.
