IELTS and Australian citizenship
The IELTS test is a test that measures the applicant’s ability to communicate in English, in reading, writing, listening and speaking. Applicants are able to sit the test three times, however if they fail, they will have to wait another two years before they can sit it again. To increase success in this test, IELTS Preparation courses help to equip an individual with the skills required to prepare for the IELTS test and techniques on how to approach each of the 4 modules.
According to the IELTS scale, in order to achieve a level 6 in the IELTS test, individuals should be a competent user of English with "an effective command of the language despite some inaccuracies, inappropriate useage and misunderstandings. They can use and understand fairly complex language, particularly in familiar situations".
To achieve this level of proficiency, AEI IELTS courses help to advance English skills and IELTS proficiency by giving students access to a range of authentic opportunities to use the language, with individual coaching and guidance.
Applicants need to be equipped with the ability to pass all modules of the test at the required IELTS level in order to achieve the new citizenship requirements.
